AHMEDABAD (India) - The cast for the highly anticipated FIBA U18 Asia Cup 2026 is gradually taking shape following the conclusion of several Sub-Zone Qualifiers over the past couple of months.
The latest to book their tickets to the continental showpiece are the Philippines and Thailand after the proud programs emerged as the top two teams of the recent SEABA U18 Qualifiers in the province of Krabi.
As of this posting, 11 teams have qualified for the August 13-23 showpiece in Ahmedabad, which can be seen in the table provided below. The remaining 5 teams will be coming from the West Asia and Gulf regions.
The WABA Qualifiers will be played on July 7-11 in Amman, Jordan to identify the 3 teams that will join the tilt, while the other 2 will qualify from the GBA Qualifiers, which is scheduled to be held on July 17-22 in Doha, Qatar.

New Zealand and Australia were the first to qualify after emerging as the best two teams of the FIBA U17 Oceania Cup 2025. Kazakhstan followed suit after a mighty 3-game sweep of the CABA Qualifiers last April.
From the SABA Qualifiers last May, Sri Lanka joined hosts India following a runner-up finish behind the latter. China, Japan, Korea, and Chinese Taipei sealed their spots through the EABA Qualifiers last June.
