    A total of 36 national teams contested a nail-biting and entertaining Qualifiers schedule, with games taking place across the three windows in November 2023, November 2024 and February 2025. This determined the 16 teams who qualified for FIBA Women's EuroBasket, with the four co-host nations having already been pre-allocated their respective tickets.

    What is the format of FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2025?

    The 16 participating teams have been placed into four groups of four, with each nation playing each other on a round-robin basis. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Quarter-Finals which will be played at the Final stage in Piraeus, ahead of the Semi-Finals and subsequent medal games.

    In addition to nations battling to win the coveted silverware and land on the podium, there is also the added incentive for those making the Final phase to secure a ticket to the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments.

    The teams finishing in the top five of the competition will advance, along with host nation Germany. However, if Germany finish in the top five at FIBA Women's EuroBasket, the sixth-placed team will also take a ticket.

    The 5-8 Classification games will be played during the Final Phase in Piraeus, Greece.
