MUNICH (Germany) - The FIBA Women's EuroBasket has an illustrious history, with many of the leading lights in the women's global game having graced the competition across a period spanning almost 90 years.
But which players have not only shown their skills and quality, but also stood on the podium more times than anyone else?
The only player who has reached double-digits when it comes to their overall medal haul is FIBA Hall of Fame member Uljana Semjonova. The Latvian dominated with the Soviet Union and, incredibly, picked up 10 gold medals between 1968 and 1985 - winning every edition she played.
Her teammate Olga Sukharnova was not far behind as she collected a similarly fantastic nine gold medals.
Laia Palau takes the third step on the all-time medal podium with eight of them. The Spanish playercaller won the competition three times, and also collected a silver and four bronze medals between 2003 and 2019.
Russian legend Maria Stepanova also racked up three golds after competing in six Finals, also adding a bronze. She shares fourth place on seven medals with three other players.
French duo Endy Miyem and Sandrine Gruda won their medals as a fearsome duo in the paint, while Milena Veckova also had seven medals after starring for Czechoslovakia between 1952 and 1964.
