MUNICH (Germany) - The new 2025-26 EuroLeague Women Regular Season is about to launch and with the recent Qualifiers in the books, the field is set for 16 clubs from right across the Continent. Here's a quick-fire guide to everything you need to know ahead of what is looking destined to be another compelling Regular Season.
What is EuroLeague Women?
A prestigious and highly respected competition that continues to soar in popularity, EuroLeague Women represents the top tier of women's basketball in Europe. Featuring many of the best female ballers on the planet, the tournament has a rich tradition that goes back many decades.
During the next seven months, fans can look forward to a relentless and absorbing battle to make the showpiece Final Six and of course, to attain the ultimate goal of being crowned EuroLeague Women 2026 champions.
Who is playing?
There are 16 teams competing in the 2025-26 edition. There were 11 clubs who gained direct entry into the Regular Season as a result of the Club and Country rankings, while the final five spots were determined via the Qualifiers.

Who are the reigning champions?
In a fairytale ending to the astonishing career of FIBA Hall of Famer Natalia Hejkova, the veteran playcaller guided ZVVZ USK Praha to a surprise title success at the first-ever Final Six in Zaragoza, Spain.
It was the sixth EuroLeague Women trophy for Hejkova and arrived exactly a decade since she won her fifth, having taken the Czech giants to their maiden silverware in 2015
When are the games played and what's new for 2025-26?
Games are typically played on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights throughout the campaign. The Regular Season commences in October and is in two parts, the First Round and then the Second Round for the clubs that advance.
New for the 2025-26 campaign: the subsequent Play-Offs will see the Play-Ins move to a best-of-three format, with the higher-seeded team having home court advantage. The season culminates in the Final Six which is scheduled for April 15-19

What are the EuroLeague Women Awards?
Launched by FIBA Europe in 2019, the EuroLeague Women Awards are a distinguished recognition of outstanding achievements and contributions within Europe's flagship women's club competition.
A prestigious Gala will be held during the last weekend of the season at Final Six to recognize and celebrate the award winners. The Awards are headlined by the Most Valuable Player and also features the All-EuroLeague Women First Team, Defensive Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.
