MUNICH (Germany) - Dorka Juhasz has been handed the EuroLeague Women MVP award for February after continuing to lead Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring with standout performances in their pursuit of this year's silverware.
The center has stepped up with plenty of stellar displays and picks up the honor thanks to a combination of both fan and expert panel voting. Juhasz was one of five standout players who where chosen for the February Team of the Month.
The 26 year-old harvested a performance efficiency valuation of 23.0 during the month, putting opponents to the sword with her outstanding displays. She averaged a superb double-double during February by bagging 18.7 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.
The first game of February saw Juhasz help Galatasaray wrap up their Regular Season campaign on a high with a 67-57 success against Spar Girona. She stepped off court having accumulated a fine double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Moving into the first game of the Semi-Finals Play-Ins, Galatasaray opened up with a thrilling 81-72 overtime win against Basket Landes. Juhasz was central to that edge of the seat triumph after posting 21 points and 12 boards.
Despite Galatasaray losing the second game of the Semi-Finals Play-Ins 75-70 on the road to Basket Landes, Juhasz still put in an impressive effort. She stepped off the floor in Mont-de-Marsan having registered 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Juhasz follows Leila Lacan of Basket Landes who won the January honor, Mariam Coulibaly of Spar Girona who took the December crown and Fenerbahce duo Iliana Rupert and Julie Allemand who secured the October and November editions respectively.
