    Teams from Groups A, B all set

    MIES (Switzerland) - Groups A and B are all set to fight on in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers' Second Window as lineups of the eight sides competing on February 26 have been confirmed

    Group A: Australia, Guam, New Zealand, Philippines

    Group B: China, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea

    A total of four teams are looking not only to go 3-0 but to assure themselves a seat in the Second Round, namely the Philippines, defending three-time Asia Cup champions Australia, Japan, and Korea.

    Window 2 action commences at the University of Guam Field House in Mangilao Village, where the visiting Boomers will take on Guam in one of the biggest games for the latter and its upstart program.

    Japan, on the other hand, will be hosting China at the Okinawa Arena in the heavyweights' first meeting in 371 days or since the third window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers at the Shenzhen Sports Center.

    Competing in the third game are Korea and Chinese Taipei at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City, with the former also keen on giving new coach Nikolajs Mazurs a triumphant debut at the helm.

    Groups A & B Preview: Are teams ready to advance?

    The Philippines and New Zealand will be capping the night off, with Gilas looking to rely on homecourt advantage once more in a bid to upset the Tall Blacks as they will be battling it out at the Mall of Asia Arena.

    The unbeaten teams simply need to win their aforementioned games to move on to the next round.

    Teams from Groups C and D, meanwhile, will see action on February 26.
