It would be a rematch of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Third-Place Game in Saudi Arabia, which saw Team Melli come out on top by way of a 79-73 decision to snag their first medal in the said event since taking silver in 2017.

Australia and Syria will then take the floor at 17:00, with the mighty Boomers looking to extend their unbeaten run to 7 games after pulling off an immaculate 6-0 sweep of Group A back in the First Round.

Playing at the 20:30 main game would be hosts Philippines and Jordan, with eyes set on Gilas as they will be playing without star winger Justin Brownlee for the first time in the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers.

It will also be their 10th meeting in FIBA play, with the Falcons owning the edge as they've won 5 times in their 9 clashes, the most recent a 91-90 decision during the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers' Second Round in Bulacan.
