Romania are the hosts for this year's FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, Division B event

    Everything you need to know about the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, Division B tournament in Romania.

    TULCEA (Romania) - The promising young international basketball stars will converge in Romania for the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, Division B event this summer.

    It all takes place in the Romanian city of Tulcea from July 31 to August 9.

    Who is participating?

    There will be 20 nations competing for the Division B title and promotion to next summer's FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket.

    The Group Phase is as follows:

    Group A: Iceland, Portugal, Azerbaijan, Romania, Netherlands Group B: Bulgaria, Israel, Norway, Ukraine, Switzerland Group C: Luxembourg, Lithuania, Estonia, Austria, Ireland Group D: Slovakia, Greece, North Macedonia, Denmark, Great Britain

    What is the schedule?

    The Group Phase will take place over the first five days of the tournament, followed by a rest day on August 6. Teams are seeded for the Quarter-Finals stage based on their group position.

    The tournament will continue until the Final on August 9, with Classification Games also determining each of the 20 positions.

    Who were the winners in 2025?

    Sweden finished its Division B campaign in style with a 77-69 come-from-behind success over Germany to take top spot on the podium.

    Fighting back from a 13-point deficit, Sweden exacted revenge on Germany, who had beaten them 49-44 in the first game of the tournament, to hold them for five minutes late in the Final with an 11-0 run to win the game.

    Shiloh Kalenga led the way in the title bout with 29 points and 7 rebounds.

    Croatia used a big second-quarter run to defeat hosts Lithuania 88-83 and bag promotion, along with a bronze medal, after being relegated last summer.

    Former MVPs

    Shiloh Kalenga had double reason to celebrate Sweden winning the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket 2025, Division B, as she claimed the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

    Shiloh Kalenga stepped up when it mattered, as she scored 29 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in Sweden's win over Germany in the Final. For the tournament, Kalenga averaged 12.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks.

    Roll of honor

    Croatia still lead the medal table, adding a bronze medal to five overall, including three top-place finishes. Meanwhile, Belarus and Hungary have won two titles apiece.
