MUNICH (Germany) - The FIBA Youth EuroBasket tournaments continue to serve as a springboard to senior stardom for many of the leading lights on the Continent.
Looking back at the honors board of past events, you'll discover a multitude of ballers who have all went on to shine on some of basketball's biggest stages.
Every summer, one player rises above their peers in each competition and is ultimately crowned MVP. For some, it's launch-pad to fast-track their respective careers; while for others, it's an important high point in an evolving journey.
Here's a look at how the last five FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, Division B MVPs have progressed since winning the prestigious accolade.
2025: Shiloh Kalenga (SWE)
Then: Kalenga stepped up with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in Sweden's win over Germany in the Final. For the tournament, the forward averaged 12.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks.
Now: She has continued her basketball development playing in the Swedish league with Alvik Basket and impressed. Next season, she will play Stateside in her freshman Year at the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
2024: Jelena Bulajic (MNE)
Then: The guard performed at a high level to ensure Montenegro finished top of the pile with a 63-58 success against Czechia. She averaged a super 21.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in the competition.
Now: Bulajic made her FIBA Women's EuroBasket debut last year as one of the youngest in the prestigious tournament. She has also completed her first season in the NCAA with the University of South Florida.
2023: Faith Ehi Etute (LUX)
Then: The forward posted some quite astonishing numbers to help Luxembourg achieve promotion. She averaged a staggering 31.5 points. 23.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
Now: Etute was sensational in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers and has since completed her freshman and sophomore years at the University of Oregon.
2022: Ajsa Sivka (SLO)
Then: Slovenia won all six games in the tournament and took pole position to move to Division A. Sivka was the class act and stepped away having contributed 11.0 points, 8.8 boards and 4.8 assists per game.
Now: It was no surprise Sivka excelled since right before U20 she featured prominently at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 and also stepped out at the 2025 edition. At club level she played in the EuroLeague Women Semi-Finals for Beretta Famila Schio and has played with Tarbes in France.
2019: Awak Kuier (FIN)
Then: It was a flawless 8-0 record for Finland in a campaign that was built around the stellar efforts of their marquee baller. Awak posted a monstrous 18.8 points and 12.6 rebounds per game in a standout tournament.
Now: Kuier is the standout leader of the Finland senior team and will be a centerpiece of their FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027 campaign as co-hosts. At club level she has excelled in EuroCup Women and was a driving force of Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring making a second EuroLeague Women Final - 12 years after their first.
