ISTANBUL (Türkiye) - The FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket, Division B, is the final youth event for the summer of 2025.
The tournament will take place in Konya, Türkiye, from August 20-29.
Who is participating?
A total of 19 teams will compete for the Division B crown. They have been split into three groups of five and one of four. The Group Phase is as follows:
Group A: Austria, Türkiye, Iceland, Ireland, Switzerland Group B: Slovakia, Sweden, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Azerbaijan Group C: Denmark, Portugal, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Norway Group D: Lithuania, Greece, Bulgaria, Ukraine, North Macedonia
What is the schedule?
The Group Phase will take place across the first six days of the tournament, with rest days on August 23 and August 26.
Classification games will begin on August 27. The competition will continue as a bracket with the Quarter-Finals until the Final on August 29, with the Classification games also determining each of the 19 positions.

Who were the winners in 2023?
Romania was crowned champions of last year's FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket, Division B, after edging Czechia 54-52 in a physical encounter in Konya, Türkiye.
Having made a free throw to extend their lead by two with 14 seconds left, Romania had to play defense on the game's final play and forced Czechia into a tough shot after protecting the lane well to claim glorious victory.
Alexia-Ioana Marcus amassed 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists in the Final for the Romanians. Barbora Vyhlidova put up a monster double-double of 17 points and 22 rebounds for an efficiency of 34 in a losing effort for the Czechs.
Elsewhere, Great Britain finished third, dismissing hosts Türkiye 84-62 to become the sole British team to be promoted to Division A for that summer.
Former MVPs
Romania's Ioana-Vanessa Velcea took the honor of being crowned MVP after taking home the title.
Leading her nation to the title, the point guard scored consistently while also getting teammates involved. She finished fifth in tournament scoring and second in assists. She averaged 18.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.

Roll of honor
Germany stands alone on top of the podium with three victories to their name, and they also have five medals in total, more than any nation. Lithuania, Sweden, and Serbia have all won the competition twice.
