MACAU - The FIBA 3x3 World Tour returns to glitzy Macau as this epic season goes into overdrive on October 18-19.
Here is all the important information for the 14th stop on this season's WT. Where can I watch the WT Macau? The action runs from October 18-19 and you can follow it live on the FIBA 3x3 YouTube channel. Who is competing in Macau? Eight of the top 17 teams in the rankings and a total of 16 squads: Ub, Miami, Liman, Chongming, Riffa, Baskets Bonn Telekom, Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy, Lugano, Kandava Turiba, Marbella, Bordeaux, Taipei WanBao, Melbourne CLB EXE, Brisbane CLB EXE, Diadema, Port Dickson KL Eagles What are the pools?
Who are the favorites?
Even though they were stunned in the semis at WT Deqing, No.1 seed Ub's (SRB) standing as the top dog has not been diminished. They will again start as the favorite as the spectacular Serbs seek a seventh WT 2025 title and Ub returns to a happy hunting ground as they seek a three-peat in Macau.
Ub in Deqing were knocked out by London (USA), who aren't in this draw, but the Americans are represented by No.2 seed Miami (USA) who might be on a collision course to meet the Serbs at some point.
Miami are in red-hot form and boast two MVPs on this season's WT - Henry Caruso and Mitch Hahn.
Liman (SRB) came within an inch of the title in Deqing and their chances of another deep run remain excellent if Andreja Milutinovic continues his scoring binge.
Chongming's (CHN) form has been a little bit topsy-turvy, but their firepower and inside strength will cause nightmares for opponents. Cameron Forte and Karlis Lasmanis are a formidable one-two punch that can knock out any team.
We just have to mention rejuvenated Riffa (BRN), who have turned around their season after an inspiring Chinese swing where they made three straight semis. You guessed it - it's been talisman Dennis Donkor who has ignited his team and he's been playing like a man possessed on the half-court.
But Riffa will have to do it the hard way from QD. Don't bet against them.
Who are the players to watch?
We've named a bunch but not GOAT Strahinja Stojacic, who will be stepping on the half-court with a bigger smile than usual because he will again be playing with his brother Stefan Stojacic - a legendary 3x3 figure universally known as 'Mr Robot'.
Baskets Bonn Telekom (GER) will be looking for a lift and who better to provide that than high-flyer Denzel Agyeman. Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL) have not quite had the season they would have wanted but that can change quickly if sniper Anand Ariunbold aka 'The Archer' finds the target from long-range.
We love being introduced to new scoring machines and this dude is absolutely lights out - Adris De Leon is another major find for Lugano (SUI) and he can put up ridiculous numbers.
Another new star is big Aussie Dillon Stith, who is taking the torch from his legendary predecessors Down Under and he's now leading the way for new kids on the block Melbourne CLB EXE (AUS). Diego De Blas has become the latest Spanish sensation and he will be out to create a breakthrough for Marbella (ESP).
