MACAU (China) – Adris De León of Lugano (SUI) put on a show for the ages at the 2025 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Macau, earning Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors on 19 October after leading his team to an historic first World Tour win.
De León was the heartbeat of Lugano’s championship run, guiding the Swiss side through a tough field and saving his best for the biggest stage. After a solid 2-0 showing on Day One, Lugano surged on Day Two, taking down Chongming and Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy before outlasting Miami in a thrilling 21-20 Final.
When the lights shone brightest, De León delivered. The veteran guard was sensational in the title game, scoring 8 points, leading their endgame rally from being down 17-20 and draining the dagger that sealed Lugano’s maiden WT crown.
Throughout the tournament, De León was a picture of poise and precision, averaging 7.8 points, 2.2 highlights and hitting a total of 12 two-pointers as Lugano went undefeated in Macau.
He received his MVP trophy from Ms. Zoe Zhou, Chief Marketing Officer of Resort Marketing of Wynn Macau Limited and Mr. Wu Chong Fai, President of the Macau China Basketball Association, a fitting tribute to a player whose flair and clutch shot-making powered Lugano to the top of the 3x3 ladder in Macau.
