A preview of the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2025.

COPENHAGEN (Denmark) - The fight for the continental crown will be intense at the 10th edition of the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup on September 5-7.

The pride of Europe will be on the line and we've got all the information.

Where can I watch? The action runs from September 5-7 and you can watch it live on the FIBA 3x3 YouTube Channel.

Who is competing? There are 24 teams - 12 men's and 12 women's - competing in the three-day event in Copenhagen. What are the pools?

    Who are the favorites?

In the men's, there can only be one answer and that's Serbia who came within an inch last year of winning an absolutely crazy sixth straight - yes, sixth! - Europe Cup title. After their heartbreak against Austria in a lit Vienna last year, Serbia will be out for vengeance and they have the line-up to take back the crown.

Serbia double as Ub (SRB), the unstoppable force that is sweeping all before them on the World Tour. But they will face an early test in Pool A against their World Cup conquerors Switzerland, who just have to be rated as the real deal having stormed to the final memorably in Ulaanbaatar.

Defending champ Austria will enter with confidence after scoring machine Quincy Diggs led them to glory at WT Debrecen. Powers France will be determined to change a lean Europe Cup record and they'll look to energetic Jules Rambaut to get them going.

And we just have to mention young guns Germany who were so close to getting a medal at the World Cup, but you feel a first ever men's medal at a major event might just happen in Copenhagen.

Germany have an array of prized young talent, notably big fella Fabian Giessmann who will leave you speechless with the things he can do on the half-court.

In the women's, the Netherlands have been the best team in 2025 so far, collecting titles at will highlighted by a first World Cup triumph. They are absolutely loaded and possess the best duo in the game - Noortje Driessen and Janis Nbida who are equally mean on offense and defense.

But the in-form team is Spain having won the WS Debrecen en route to Copenhagen. They just know how to win and will never rest lightly knowing legendary Sandra Ygueravide - a two-time Euro Cup MVP - will be lighting a fire under her team.

France are the most successful team in tournament history with three titles and can never be underestimated even though they have struggled for consistency in 2025.

It's a loaded draw, but Poland just have to be rated among the contenders after their giant-killing run at the World Cup where Aleksandra Ziemborska was a flame-thrower.

Who are the players to watch?

We have already named a bunch, but No.1 men's player Strahinja Stojacic just has to start any list. He's in the form of his life and just loves the Europe Cup, which he hopes to again dominate in similar fashion to his MVP effort in 2023. The Netherlands will unleash some fresh faces, including dunking machine Nesta Agasi while Lithuania's Titas Janusevicius is also part of the New Gen. Latvia boast their champion Karlis Lasmanis who is passing the torch to excitement machine Francis Lacis.

Speaking of exciting players, Switzerland's Gilles Martin just has to be mentioned because he's an OG entertainer. We can't wait to see his latest party trick.

Speaking of young guns, Laura Zolper is the next women's star for Germany who have rebranded from the side that won Paris Olympic gold.

This Spanish star needs no introduction. Sandra Ygueravide has been on a scoring tear recently and she is quite capable of doing something unusual this time of year - warm up Copenhagen!

Azerbaijan loom as a dark horse and can absolutely make a deep run if walking bucket Brianna Fraser drips wet on the half-court. Don't discount Great Britain, who are starting to emerge on the 3x3 map. They'll rely on rising star Cavina Rickards, a smooth shooter more than capable of matching buckets with the big name stars.
