We knew how to stop them and we are glad to be in the final - Hagar Amer

She shot 11-for-17 from the floor,  with two unsuccessful attempts from range, to finish with a game-high 25 points, dominating the boards as well with 24, while adding 4 assists and 2 steals.

Her incredible performance was complimented by Raneem Elgedawy who also dropped a double-double with 20 points, shooting 8-for-20, while adding 12 rebounds, and 3 assists for 16 in efficiency rating.

The 2022 Most Valuable Player chasing her third title on the continent, Amer, said: "It was a battle! We started great as we had prepared very well. We knew how to stop them and we are glad to be in the final. We switched well on the post and caused them issues and our game plan worked."

She continued: "Ahead of the final, we know it is going to be a good game but we are ready. They ( Ferroviario de Maputo) are a great team and as the defending champions they deserve their respect. But we have a game plan which I believe will deliver for us."
