MERSIN (Türkiye) - The 15th edition of SuperCup Women will pit EuroCup Women champions CIMSA CBK Mersin against reigning EuroLeague Women champions and domestic rivals Fenerbahce Tarfin.
Mersin will have the backing of their passionate home fans as they make their first-ever SuperCup Women appearance, fresh from winning a maiden EuroCup Women title.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce are chasing a third SuperCup Women crown in four editions. Victory would see them become only the second club to achieve the feat, after UMMC Ekaterinburg.
Watch Live
A live broadcast of the game will be available to watch live and for free on the EuroLeague Women YouTube channel, with tip-off scheduled for 18:30 CET on Wednesday, October 7.
Team Profile: CIMSA CBK Mersin
Last year's EuroCup Women Finals MVP, Kennedy Burke is back on board for Mersin and she will headline their challenge. Although she is not the only potential game-winner, since veteran Alina Iagupova is also someone who can change the momentum of any contest as fans have seen down the years - and she will go up against her former team.
Karlie Samuelson is another big threat from the wings with her three-point accuracy, while Jessica Thomas will pull the strings in the backcourt. Kariata Diaby arrives via Bourges and will bring the noise in the paint.
Team Profile: Fenerbahce Tarfin
Fenerbahce have made significant changes ahead of the new campaign, welcoming a number of new faces. While some will join up later, Yvonne Anderson, Tima Pouye, Nell Angloma, Luisa Geiselsoder and 2026 EuroLeague Women Rising Star Leila Lacan are all set to feature in this one.
But the returners will also have a big say too - not least Emma Meesseman. She is joined by Belgian teammate Julie Allemand, plus Turkish duo Alperi Onar and Olcay Cakir.
Key Matchup
There is no doubt that Emma Meesseman will be viewed as a potential SuperCup Women MVP in waiting for Fenerbahce and it would be a surprise if the Belgian legend didn't produce her usual magic.
Trying to slow the frontcourt ace down is quite the task for any player in the global game, with this particular assignment maybe falling to the experienced Kariata Diaby. Fearless and a real warrior, she will look to not only slow down her frontcourt rival but also create some headaches herself.
