Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding claim first SuperCup Women title

LYON (France) - The 2023 calendar year became even more memorable for Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding  after they added their first SuperCup Women crown to the maiden EuroLeague Women title they won back in April.

The Istanbul giants won 109-52 at reigning EuroCup Women champions LDLC ASVEL Feminin which also means they have become the first Turkish club to claim the prestigious silverware.

Fenerbahce were led by new signing Napheesa Collier who was crowned MVP after racking up an impressive 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

The result never looked in doubt after a lightning start by the visitors who built a double-digit lead in less than four minutes. That early momentum continued for the remainder of the contest as Fenerbahce raced out of sight.

As well as Collier catching the eye, there was a double-double of 10 points and 13 boards from Emma Meesseman, plus 18 points from Latvian ace, Kitija Laksa.

They are the eighth different club to be crowned SuperCup Women champions, joining former winners UMMC Ekaterinburg (2013, 2016, 2018, 2019), Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje (2009, 2010), Perfumerias Avenida (2011), ZVVZ USK Praha (2015), Dynamo Kursk (2017), Valencia (2021) and Tango Bourges Basket (2022)
