    Belgium have qualified for the Women's World Cup in 2026 as Women's EuroBasket champions

    Belgium are the second team to join the field set to play in Germany next year.

    PIRAEUS (Greece) - Belgium are heading to the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 after capturing the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2025 title in thrilling fashion.

    In front of a record-setting crowd of 7,827 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, Belgium pulled off a dramatic 67-65 comeback win over Spain to defend their continental crown and secure their direct qualification to the World Cup in Berlin.

    The win makes Belgium just the third team ever to repeat as Women’s EuroBasket champions - and now they’ll have the chance to chase global glory in 2026.

    They are the second team to qualify for the Women's Basketball World Cup after hosts Germany.
