Qualification Tracker: Who has punched their ticket to the Women's World Cup 2026?

BERLIN (Germany) - All the teams participating in the FIBA 2025 Women's Continental Cups have come to battle for the Women's AfroBasket, Women's AmeriCup, Women's Asia Cup and Women's EuroBasket trophies, but that is not the only thing on the line.

The Women's Continental Cups will also serve as qualifying events for FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 and FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments.

24 teams will qualify for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournaments in March 2026. The host Germany and the winners of each Women’s Continental Cup 2025 will participate in these qualifiers. However, they receive automatic qualification for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026.

Also, Czechia and Hungary, winners of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Pre-Qualifying Tournaments that took take place in August 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda and Mexico City, Mexico, have already qualified for the World Cup Qualifying Tournaments.

In March 2026, 16 teams will qualify and then participate in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026.

*If Germany, the host of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026, win the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2025, then the FIBA Women's EuroBasket finalist will qualify directly for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
