    All you need to know: FIBA U20 EuroBasket, Division B 2026

    Slovakia will host this year's FIBA U20 EuroBasket, Division B

    All the information as 21 teams aim to seal promotion to Division A, next summer.

    BRATISLAVA (Slovakia) - International basketball's stars of tomorrow will compete for Division B glory and a place at next summer's FIBA U20 EuroBasket tournament.

    The tournament will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia, from July 10-19.

    Who is participating?

    There will be 21 teams competing for the FIBA U20 EuroBasket Division B title. They have been split into three groups of five and one group of six. The Group Phase is as follows: Group A: Ireland, Sweden, Slovakia, North Macedonia, Azerbaijan Group B: Estonia, Switzerland, Georgia, Ukraine, Luxembourg Group C: Kosovo, Portugal, Armenia, Iceland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus Group D: Bulgaria, Hungary, Albania, Netherlands, Denmark

    What is the schedule?

    The Group Phase takes place across the first five days of the tournament, with two rest days on July 13 and July 16. Classification games and the Quarter-Finals will begin on July 19 in a bracket format, followed by the Semi-Finals on July 18.

    The Final will take place on July 19, and the Classification games will also determine each of the 21 positions.

    Who were the winners in 2025?

    Latvia won last summer's Division B title by overcoming Croatia 74-64 in the Final to gain promotion.

    Rolands Sulcs and his 18 points and 8 rebounds. Janis Junemanis recorded a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.

    Türkiye were the third team to secure promotion as they brushed Switzerland aside, to record an 86-54 win that got them their place on the podium.

    Former MVPs

    Rolands Sulcs of Latvia was crowned Most Valuable Player at the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2025, Division B.

    He averaged 14.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game, proving to be the most consistent by scoring in double-digits in every game. He picked the pace up in the final four, averaging 19 points in the last two games that saw Latvia earn promotion before the title.

    Roll of honor

    Poland, Montenegro, and Georgia are the most successful teams in Division B, with two titles each. Poland also holds the joint record for the most medals overall, with five, while Czechia is close behind, having reached the podium five times.
