High-flying Canada rack up their highest ever points tally
Canada signed off as Group B winners by amassing their third huge victory as they swept aside China 115-52 to record their best points total in the competition. It surpassed their previous record-breaking tally of 113 when they set the standard across both women's and men's for three-point shooting by sinking an unprecedented 20 triples.
It was Avery Howell who stood out this time, stepping off court having dropped 26 points. Her sparkling effort was supported by another class showing from Syla Swords who added 20 points and 9 boards, while Cearah Parchment netted 17 points.
Jazzy puts on a show to seal all-time USA high in efficiency
There was a glimpse of the future in the present as USA star Jazzy Davidson became the first USA player in FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup history to hit the 40 landmark for efficiency.
She excelled in the commanding 114-40 win against Israel with a brilliant 24 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks. She wasn't the only USA baller to step up, with Saniyah Hall dropping 20 points and securing a super 6 steals.
Australia edge out France in thriller
One of the most absorbing games of the group stage was played out in the very last contest as the Australia slipped past France 70-66 in a huge win that boosts their podium prospects. It was a super team effort and Monique Bobongie starred with 17 points, while Bonnie Deas made some nice plays early to build momentum.
Meanwhile France were left cursing countless missed layups and free-throws that proved to be costly. Nell Angloma and Sarah Cisse impressed with the former adding 19 points and Cisse claiming a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds.
This loss puts powerhouse France on a path that could lead to a Quarter-Final clash with the USA.
Spain celebrate staying unbeaten
With a perfect 3-0 record, there has been a lot to love for Spain as they signed off the opening stage of the competition with a comfortable 57-44 victory against Czechia. At just 16-years-old, it was Somto Okafor who showed her quality with a team-high 11 points.
The other reason for Spain's celebration on the final buzzer was that they also advance directly to the Quarter-Finals as Group D winners.
Silva still on fire as rookies Portugal roll to second win
Clara Silva continued to showcase her potential with another standout display for Portugal as they eased out Nigeria 79-61 with a late surge. While their African opponents had briefly threatened what would still be considered as an upset, Portugal found a higher gear in the last quarter.
Much of that was down to their star center as she claimed a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds - as well as blocking 4 shots. Meanwhile Leonor Peixinho and Marta Rodrigues contributed 16 and 14 points respectively.

- Japan completed a dominant 83-44 success against Argentina. Otoha Goto sunk 19 points while Sakura Horiuchi claimed 11 boards, 7 assists and 5 steals.
- Hungary strode past Korea 81-45 as they improved to 2-1 in Group A off the back of a huge performance on the glass. Out-rebounding their opponents 52-26, they were led by Eszter Ratkai with 14 points and 7 boards.
