    BELGRADE (Serbia) - The FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2025 heads into the first rest day after an exciting third round of games, highlighted by Petar Ostojic's big performance to help hosts Serbia bounce back while Bulgaria shocked reigning champs Germany.

    All four groups meanwhile finished with an undefeated first place team as Italy, France, Lithuania and Spain all went 3-0.

    Top Performers

    Petar Ostojic was an unstoppable force in the paint in Serbia's convincing 89-59 blowout of North Macedonia. With fellow center Pavle Backo not available, Ostojic played 28 minutes and scored 25 points on 9 of 12 shots and 7 of 10 foul shots. He also grabbed 14 rebounds - six of them from the offensive glass - for an efficiency of 39.

    Mark Morano Mahmutovic came out on fire in Slovenia's 93-76 win over Latvia as he scored 18 points in the first quarter. The scoring ace ended the game with 31 points including 5 three-pointers - four more points than he had scored in the first two games combined. Morano Mahmutovic added 5 rebounds, 3 assist and 1 steal for an efficiency of 32 against Latvia.

    Stefan Joksimovic also had a big game for Slovenia in the 93-76 victory against Latvia as he hit 4 three-pointers in scoring 22 points. The shooting guard added 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals for the Balkan side. All told, Joksimovic registered an efficiency of 28.

    Ognjen Srzentic joined Ostojic on the Top Performers list for his outstanding showing in Serbia's 89-59 triumph over North Macedonia. The guard scored 17 points and he also grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 6 assists and swiped 1 steal in registering an efficiency of 26.

    Diego Garavaglia finished second at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2023 and the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2024 and now he is hoping to help Italy's historic 2007 generation take home a U18 medal as well. Garavaglia poured in 13 points to go with 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal for an efficiency of 25 in Italy's 91-54 win over Israel.
