BELGRADE (Serbia) - It will all come down to four teams as the Semi-Finals of the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2025 are set with a trio of past winners and Latvia who came up with another surprise to dethrone reigning champions Germany.
After not winning a game in the group stage, Latvia followed their Round of 16 upset over Lithuania with a thrilling victory over Germany thanks to Valdis Valters' layup with 1.4 seconds to play.
The 2018 finalists will next face four-time winners France while the other Semi-Final has 1990 champs Italy facing Spain, who have won five junior continental crowns. The Italy versus Spain Semi-Finals is a showdown of the generations that met in Final of the FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2023 and was won by Spain.

Diego Garavaglia did it at both ends and the result was Italy booking a ticket for the Semi-Finals with a 95-66 victory over Serbia. The forward hit 3 three-pointers and 11 of 14 free throws for 24 points while also grabbing 6 rebounds to go with 2 assists, 8 steals and 2 blocks. All that production ended up with an efficiency of 33.
Gabriel Artmenko was outstanding in Israel's 85-73 victory over North Macedonia in Classification 9-16 with 22 points on 10 of 13 shots from the field. The big man also grabbed 16 rebounds while adding 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks for an efficiency of 33.
Panagiotis Lefas had a great performance in helping Greece beat Bulgaria 93-82 in Classification 9-16. He scored a tournament high 33 points including making 14 of 14 from the charity stripe and grabbed 7 rebounds - 6 of them from the offensive glass - to go with 2 steals in totalling an efficiency of 30.
Jaroslavs Pihtovs was a force around the paint in Latvia's 80-79 win against Germany as the big men scored 18 points. Pihtovs also chimed in with 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 blocks to end with an efficiency of 30.
Mathieu Grujicic scored a game high 31 points but they were not enough as Germany lost to Latvia 80-79. The guard also helped out with 7 rebounds and 5 assists to end with an efficiency of 27.
