IOANNINA, BERTRANGE, PIESTANY (Greece, Luxembourg, Slovakia) - This year's FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket, Division B, takes place in three countries, further heightening the excitement as emerging nations aim for promotion.
The tournament will take place in the Greek city of Ioannina, Bertrange in Luxembourg and Piestany in Slovakia from August 6-22.
Who is participating?
A total of 22 teams will compete for the Division B crown. Groups A and B will play in Piestany, Groups C and D are housed in Bertrange and Groups E and F will compete in Ioannina.

What is the schedule?
The Group Phase will start in Ioannina on August 6, with the games beginning in Piestany on August 10 and Bertrange on August 17.
Classification games will begin in Ioannina on August 10, Piestany on August 14 and August 21, with the winner from each tournament gaining promotion to next summer's FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket.

Who were the winners in 2025?
Lithuania were crowned FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket 2025, Division B champions last year, thanks to a 77-60 victory over Bulgaria; both teams gained promotion to Division A this summer.
As she did all tournament long, Gabija Galvanauskaite dominated for Lithuania, leading the way with 21 points and 21 rebounds in the win.
The final ticket to Division A landed in the hands of Türkiye, who earlier on Friday redeemed themselves for their semi-final loss with a 54-46 victory over Switzerland in the Third Place Game.
Former MVPs
Gabija Galvanauskaite claimed the honor of being crowned FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket, Division B MVP after helping Lithuania take home the trophy.
Galvanauskaite comfortably averaged a double-double of 19 points and 15.6 boards for the tournament and capped it all off by emerging as the hero in the Final with a monster double-double of 21 points and 21 rebounds against Bulgaria.
