Unbeaten Morocco proved too much for their opponents.

TUNIS (Tunisia) - Morocco secured their second consecutive ticket to the FIBA U16 Women's AfroBasket by sweeping the FIBA Africa Zone 1 qualifiers in Tunisia.

They defeated Algeria 59-33 and closed their campaign with a 68-50 victory over Tunisia.

This victory was sweet revenge for Morocco, whose 2023 U16 Women's AfroBasket playoff run ended after losing 69-42 to Tunisia in the quarterfinals.

Morocco eventually finished fifth two years ago while Tunisia finished fourth after losing 50-43 to Angola in the Third-Place Game.

They are now set to make their second consecutive appearance in the tournament, scheduled to take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from September 2-14.
