    U16 Women's AfroBasket
    History

    FIBA AFROBASKET 2025

    The FIBA U16 AfroBasket is the main gateway to youth basketball competitions in Africa and is organized by the Africa Regional Office.

    Under FIBA's new competition system, the FIBA U16 AfroBasket takes place every two years and comprises 12 national teams divided into four groups of three teams each.

    The 12 national teams meet at the end of the FIBA U16 AfroBasket zonal qualifying tournaments.

    The 2025 edition of the FIBA U16 AfroBasket will be held in Rwanda, with the tournament taking place in September 2025.

    Guinea won the last edition of the tournament in 2023 in Tunisia.
