    ORADEA (Romania) - Benjamin Berrouet showed once again why he is one of the biggest talents at FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2026 with another strong performance for undefeated Latvia.

    Day two in Oradea also featured hosts Romania shocking reigning champs Serbia for a 0-2 record.

    Benjamin Berrouet produced another impressive individual performance with 22 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks, as Latvia improved to 2-0 in Group B with a comprehensive 88-63 victory over Türkiye.

    Jan Kopecky did some of everything for Czechia

    Czechia moved to 2-0 all-time against Italy in the competition - with the other win coming in 2008 - with a comfortable 110-77 blowout for their first win in Romania. Jan Kopecky played a major role in the victory with 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.

    Romania had a historic first-ever meeting with Serbia at the U16 EuroBasket as they shocked the reigning champs with a 75-73 victory. Sebastian-Petru Lapuste nailed the game-winner at the buzzer to finish with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists - just missing the first triple-double in the competition since 2016.

    Israeli center Maor Sela did some of everything with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks as his side rallied from 13 points down for an 89-84 comeback victory over Greece, in Group C.
