Poland vs Bosnia and Herzegovina - 11:00 CET

Jusuf Nurkic and BIH advanced in a dramatic fashion - but can they continue?

A very, very interesting matchup to open things up on Sunday as Poland take on Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of these teams will enter the Quarter-Finals and that would be a nice success for each, maybe even an overachievement as both had to deal with major blows with the absences of Jeremy Sochan and Dzanan Musa.

BIH secured their Final Phase spot in a dramatic fashion, by beating Georgia in a thriller, whereas Poland relaxed and tallied two defeats after opening with three wins. You can't underestimate the Bosnian passion, even if the national team remained out of the last eight since 1993. But Poland made it into the Semi-Finals in 2022 and are looking to repeat.

    Did you know?

    • Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina met only once before at the EuroBasket events. It was in 2015 when Poland won 68-64.

    • Bosnia and Herzegovina will play a EuroBasket knockout stage game for the first time in the 21st century.

    • Jusuf Nurkic has recorded a double-double in each of his last three games. Prior to 2025, only Arvydas Sabonis managed to connect four straight at a single EuroBasket, though Tryggvi Hlinason did it this year.

France vs Georgia - 14:15 CET

France are young, fast and dangerous. But how far can they go?

How far can this team France go? The new generation took stage at this event and they have performed well so far - if we move the loss to Israel to the side. Still, France managed to get out on top of Group D and are taking on Georgia who finished fourth in Group C but have proven against Spain they can cook up an upset.

Will the French youth, speed and length prevail over Georgia's passion and individual quality in the Shengelia-Bitadze-Mamukelashvili trio?

    Did you know?

    • Georgia will play only their second game in the knockout stages at the EuroBasket, after their Round of 16 defeat in 2015 against Lithuania.

    • France's deep roster saw their bench players average 53.0 PPG so far, with no other team having an average of more than 41.

    • Sandro Mamukelashvili has scored 147 points across his 10 FIBA EuroBasket games, the most by a Georgian player in as many outings.

Italy vs Slovenia - 17:30 CET

Azzurri dream of Quarter-Finals, but must go through Luka

It's about to be a big one. Italy finished the Group Phase with only one loss, to Greece and trailed only them in the standings. And as a reward for nice results they're getting Luka Doncic early in the Final Phase. When you're playing against Doncic, there's always a chance you're receiving a monster performance that sends you home. The Azzurri will try to avoid just that as France and Poland have showed the way in the Group C. But can Simone Fontecchio and co replicate it?

    Did you know?

    • Luka Doncic averaged 32.4 PPG in the Group Phase, the best average for a player in a Preliminary Stage since Nikos Galis (34.3) and Drazen Petrovic (32.7) in 1989.

    • Slovenia have won each of their previous three meetings with Italy at the EuroBasket but all came during group stages.

    • Italy have allowed only 6.4 three-pointers per game at the event, fewer than any other team, and are also the only team to have conceded fewer than five PPG from fast breaks.

Greece vs Israel - 20:45 CET

Giannis and Greece face a tough matchup after winning Group C

Israel had a chance to finish at the top of Group D, but then Luka Doncic happened and here they are now, needing to come up with a solution for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Greece did not impress when Giannis sat out, but they managed to win Group C and now have a tough matchup. The team led by Deni Avdija sure showed more than fourth spot warrants and that's why appearances are deceiving - Israel can hurt Greece and this should be a very interesting encounter.

    Did you know?

    • Greece have won each of their last six meetings with Israel at EuroBasket after winning only one of their first six.

    • This will be only the second time across their last eight EuroBasket tournaments that Israel have reached the knockout stages as they're looking for their first Quarter-Finals since 2003.

    • Tyler Dorsey made 18 three-pointers in the Preliminary Round at the EuroBasket 2025, more than any other player.
