    Groups A, B teams locked and loaded

    MIES (Switzerland) - Groups A and B are ready to take the spotlight in Window 3 of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers as lineups of the eight teams competing on Friday, July 3 have been confirmed.

    Group A: Australia, Guam, New Zealand, Philippines Group B: China, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea

    Already qualified to the Second Round, Australia will look to extend their unbeaten run to five when they take on the winless Guam (0-5) at the RAC Arena in Perth in the second gameday of the quadruple-header offering.

    The Philippines (2-2), the other team from the group that has moved on, will face a New Zealand (2-2) side hoping to secure their ticket in Friday's opening salvo set to take place at the sold-out Spark Arena in Auckland.

    Group B teams will take the floor in the second half of the gameday. Korea (2-2) and Chinese Taipei (1-3) will lock horns at the Goyang Gymnasium, with the former out for revenge after losing in their Window 2 encounter.

    China (2-2) and Japan (3-1) will close it out with a meeting at the Liaoning Gymnasium in Shenyang, with the resurging Team Dragon keen on beating their long-time rivals for the third consecutive time.
