After two windows filled with intense competition and results that kept the race wide open, the First Round of the Americas Qualifiers is approaching the end.     When and where will the games be played?

    Which teams are leading their groups?

    Following the first two windows, the United States and the Dominican Republic are tied atop Group A with identical 3-1 records. However, the Dominicans won the first meeting between the two teams. In Group B, Canada sits in first place, while Brazil leads Group C and Uruguay tops Group D, with all three teams holding perfect 3-0 records.

    Teams are battling to finish among the top three in their respective groups and advance to the Second Round. At that stage, two new groups of six teams each will be formed, and the top seven teams overall will qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027.     Which players will be participating?

    Several of the region's top stars could take the court during Window 3 and the remainder of the summer qualifying campaign. Canada has already announced a summer roster loaded with NBA talent and headlined by two-time MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
