    Landry Nnoko (Cameroon)

The 2018 NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year put in a terrific performance on Saturday, helping Cameroon to a 77–71 win over Libya. Nnoko protected the Cameroonian paint with two massive blocks and grabbed 11 rebounds. Cameroon head coach Alfred Aboya acknowledged his performance. Aboya said of Nnoko: "He is a competitor; he wants to win. He was one of the players who contributed to our win today. We have to continue relying on him down low, getting rebounds and scoring."

    Makur Maker (South Sudan)

Makur had a perfect shooting performance, making all six of his shots and finishing with a game-high 23 points, helping South Sudan to a 109-79 win over Cape Verde. It was his three-point shooting that set him apart, as he made all five of his attempts. In just 20 minutes on the floor, he also contributed four rebounds and one assist.

    Patrick Lima (Cape Verde)

Cape Verde looked unrecognisable on the day, but Patrick Lima did everything he could to minimise the damage. He spent more time on the floor than any other Cape Verdean player, finishing with 14 points, eight assists, five rebounds and three steals. However, the islanders still dropped to 1–1 with one game remaining in the first round of Group A.

    Deng Adel (South Sudan)

Just like Makur Maker, Deng Adel played his part in South Sudan's 30-point victory over Cape Verde. The 201 cm (6'7") forward led by example. In addition to shooting 6 for 9, which helped him finish with 21 points, he also provided 6 assists.

    Adrees Zeew (Libya)

The Al Ahly Benghazi forward emerged as Libya's go-to guy, leading the North Africans in scoring with 22 points. He also contributed 6 rebounds and 5 assists, but Cameroon ultimately prevailed with a final score of 77-71.
