    MUNICH (Germany) - The new EuroLeague Women Regular Season is ready to tip off and, with the recent Qualifiers now in the books, there are 16 clubs waiting to step into the First Round.

    What is EuroLeague Women?

    Featuring many of the leading female players on the planet, EuroLeague Women is one of the premier competitions in the women's game and continues to soar in popularity.

    EuroLeague Women celebrates another record-breaking year of growth

    The competition represents the top tier of women's basketball in Europe and boasts a rich tradition stretching back many decades. Over the next seven months, fans can expect a gripping battle for a place at the season's showpiece Final Six, where the new EuroLeague Women champions will be crowned.

    Who is playing in EuroLeague Women?

    There are 16 teams from 11 countries competing in the 2026-27 season, with 12 clubs having been awarded direct spots in the Regular Season as a result of Club and Country rankings, while the final four spots were determined via the recent EuroLeague Women Qualifiers. The First Round of the Regular Season consists of four groups of four teams.

    Who are the reigning EuroLeague Women champions?

    Fenerbahce Tarfin reclaimed their EuroLeague Women crown at the 2026 Final Six. The 2023 and 2024 champions celebrated their third triumph in four seasons by defeating archrivals Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring 68-55.

    Fenerbahce playmaker Julie Allemand was named Final Six MVP, presented by Azulmarino after putting up a near triple-double of 13 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists in the title game.

    When are EuroLeague Women games played?

    The majority of games are played on Wednesday nights, although some fixtures also take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Regular Season begins in October with the First Round, before the clubs that advance move on to the Second Round.

    During the subsequent Play-Offs phase, the Play-Ins are contested in a best-of-three format, with the higher-seeded team holding home-court advantage.

    The season then culminates with the Final Six, scheduled for April 14-18 in Zaragoza, Spain.

    What are the EuroLeague Women Awards?

    Launched seven years ago, the EuroLeague Women Awards recognize outstanding achievements and contributions within Europe's flagship women's club competition.

    A prestigious EuroLeague Women Awards ceremony is held each season at the Final Six. Headlined by the Most Valuable Player award, the honors also include the All-EuroLeague Women First Team, Defensive Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.
