    Who is your pick?

MUNICH (Germany) - The first fan voting returns for the EuroLeague Women Awards have offered an early snapshot of the frontrunners across all major categories, with Final Six hosts Casademont Zaragoza enjoying strong support across the board.

Mariona Ortiz has emerged as the fan favorite for MVP with 31 percent of the vote, leading Dorka Juhasz of Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring and three-time EuroLeague Women MVP Emma Meesseman of Fenerbahce Opet.

Zaragoza’s presence is also strongly felt in the Team of the Season voting, where multiple players top both the backcourt and frontcourt charts, while Carla Leite has also taken control of the Rising Star race in the fan vote.

Elsewhere, the Defensive Player of the Year category remains tightly contested, with only minimal separation between the leading candidates, with the two-time award winner Gabby Williams of Fenerbahce establishing a slender lead.

Meanwhile, Carlos Cantero (Casademont Zaragoza) and Julie Barennes (Basket Landes) are well ahead of the pack in the Coach of the Year category after impressive campaigns for both sides.
