MUNICH (Germany) - With two exciting weeks of EuroLeague Women action already in the books, the race to be crowned MVP is up and running.
While it's still very early in the contest and will no doubt be a real roller-coaster ride as the season unfolds, here's a first-look at this season's frontrunners.
1. Iliana Rupert - Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding
Center
Average Stats: 21.5 EFF; 17.5 PPG; 66.7 FG%; 8.0 RPG
The French center has chosen a great time to turn up the dial. Without leader Emma Meesseman at Valencia, it was Rupert who put the team on her back at times and her towering double-double paced the dramatic victory. On fire for much of last year in Mersin, the signs are that she will back in the MVP race all season long once again.
2. Klara Holm - Spar Girona
Guard
Average Stats: 23.0 EFF; 15.0 PPG; 5.5 RPG; 4.0 APG; 3.0 SPG
The guard continues to be the ultimate do-it-all player and after playing out that role with some breathtaking efforts at FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 with Sweden, it's now time for Spar Girona to benefit. It was mainly her stellar display against ZVVZ USK Praha that helped her team claim the impressive scalp of the reigning champions.
3. Stephanie Mavunga - Umana Reyer Venezia
Forward
Average Stats: 17.0 EFF; 14.5 PPG; 67.5% FG; 3.5 RPG
It's been a super start for the Italian club who having come through the Qualifiers, have opened up with a pair of wins. The shooting form of the classy Mavunga has been one of the main reasons, while the Poland national team forward is almost guaranteed to increase her production on the glass to keep her in the race during future editions.
4. Monique Billings - Fenerbahce Opet
Forward
Average Stats: 17.5 EFF; 14.5 PPG; 6.0 RPG; 2.5 SPG
Back in the competition some five years after her only previous campaign, Billings announced her return by showing she's destined to be a leading light for title favorites Fenerbahce. Her eye-catching talent is matched with her physical approach and personality, which has shone through. She was superb in the OT epic against Valencia.
5. Awa Fam - Valencia Basket Club
Center
Average Stats: 18.5 EFF; 12.0 PPG; 5.0 RPG; 3.0 SPG
It's been a tremendous 12 months or so for the teenager. She's extended the great work with Spain at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 into the early part of the club season. Improving with every game, the most exciting part for Valencia fans isn't just what she's produced to date, it's the brilliance she is capable of moving forward.
6. Tima Pouye - Tango Bourges Basket
Guard
Average Stats: 17.5 EFF; 17.0 PPG; 5.0 RPG; 3.0 APG
If Tango Bourges Basket are going to advance past the First Round then it could be Pouye who is the baller that fuels this ambition. Landing on the radar with a couple of excellent performances to date, the guard is in great early form and also contributing on the glass and showing her creative side. But can she maintain the momentum?
7. Eleanna Christinaki - Olympiacos SFP
Shooting Guard / Small Forward
Average Stats: 23.0 EFF; 24.0 PPG; 6.0 RPG; 2.5 APG; 2.0 SPG
The underdogs have had an up and down start, but the one constant has been a big scoring punch from the Greek national team baller. In both games, Christinaki has produced - most notably helping Olympiacos to snap their worrying 10 game-losing streak. While winning the MVP race looks unlikely, she deserves to be in the early running.
8. Maria Conde - Beretta Famila Schio
Shooting Guard / Small Forward
Average Stats: 13.5 EFF; 14.5 PPG; 3.5 APG; 3.0 APG
Having made the switch from Praha to Schio during the off-season, while also making a return from the injury and heartbreak which ruled her out of Final Six last year, Conde is back in a big way. Already looking like she will click through the gears in coming weeks and months, it will be a shock if the Spanish winger is not a star for Schio.
9. Teja Oblak - Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring
Guard
Average Stats: 13.5 EFF; 12.5 PPG; 4.5 APG; 2.5 APG
It's not really about the numbers for the Galatasaray guard, because while respectable enough, it is the leadership, composure and know-how that matters most. Having shown those skills last year en-route to silverware with Praha, Oblak has helped her new team navigate a couple of very tricky games and dig out wins down the stretch.
10. Helena Pueyo - Casademont Zaragoza
Small Forward
Average Stats: 17.0 EFF; 14.0 PPG; 3.5 RPG; 3.0 APG
Arguably one of the most under-recognized and under-appreciated players in the competition - or at least outside of Zaragoza, Pueyo is now putting herself more centrally on the radar. Her display in the nail-biting road win at Basket Landes during Week 1 was outstanding and she has the capacity to continue making noise moving forward.
