MUNICH (Germany) - The Regular Season is in the rear view mirror and as the last eight teams standing get set to battle it out for this year's title, what better time to check in with an updated set of Power Rankings?
Compiled by our expert panel and regularly reviewed throughout the campaign, they've taken into account all results, performances and roster changes in recent weeks.
They have also considered progress against the fourth volume of the Power Rankings, which was published at the start of the calendar year.
1. Fenerbahce Opet (-)
Season Record: 11-1
The return of Kayla McBride from injury hands Fenerbahce the extra scoring touch and experience at a great time, keeping them on trajectory for the title. Especially with Gabby Williams finding rhythm and also Emma Meesseman moving into top gear and set to engage clutch mode. Not always convincing in recent games against Zaragoza and Landes, this gives others hope. But surely the title favourites are still the team everyone needs to beat at the Final Six.
2. Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring (-)
Season Record: 10-2 The positive 'cut and paste' vibes continue for Galatasaray, who've rolled with the same formula all season and it is serving them well. While she might not have received huge attention like frontcourt duo Dorka Juhasz and Awak Kuier who have been superb, the experience of Teja Oblak looks to be the key to their success. Her control when things get tough is priceless and things will now of course get more challenging. Can they really go all the way?
3. Basket Landes (+1)
Season Record: 8-4
Incredible - and you can use every alternative in a Thesaurus too. Landes deserve that adulation for a campaign that's delivered a historic Final Six place. Built on fabulous home form and support, they've also shown their teeth on the road too. It's been a massive team effort, even if Leila Lacan and Murjanatu Musa have deservedly had their name put up in lights. Head coach Julie Barennes has done an amazing job and the underdogs are not done yet.
4. Spar Girona (+1)
Season Record: 8-4
Another club who have set a high tide mark and taken a brilliant historical footstep, Girona will lineup at the Final Six for the first time. Also driven by a top coach in Roberto Iniguez who continues to bring the fire, intensity and guidance for his team, Girona look a well balanced unit. Mariam Coulibaly and Chloe Bibby are tearing it up inside and if they want to reach the last four and beyond, Juste Jocyte and Klara Holm must turn up the dial again.
5. Casademont Zaragoza (+3)
Season Record: 7-5
Second time lucky for the Final Six hosts? After missing out on a hometown fiesta last year, they could be about to make up for it off the back of a strong finish to the Regular Season. They have that all important momentum and their defense continues to be something that can lock down opponents in a big way. But to get the job done versus Praha, it's going to take the likes of Carla Leite and Merritt Hempe to find the hot-hand at the other end of the floor.
6. Beretta Famila Schio (-)
Season Record: 7-5
Stuck around sixth place in the rankings right throughout this season, that theme continues. While Jessica Shepard continues to be sensational and will likely lead her team to Final Six along with the influential Maria Conde, do they have enough to make the Semi-Finals? A rock solid team, it just feels there's an extra special ingredient missing. But when things click, they're dangerous and especially the 'X-Factor' shooting of Kitija Laksa.
7. ZVVZ USK Praha (+2)
Season Record: 8-4 Maybe the most controversial pick of all (again) it's been a season of real swings for the champs. Just when you thought that they had brilliantly breathed life back into their campaign, they lost last year's Final Six MVP Brionna Jones to an injury. Still, they have enough to tear up this Power Rankings script, move past Zaragoza and challenge again - not least with Valeriane Ayayi and Bridget Carleton in majestic form. But what happens now in the paint?
8. Umana Reyer Venezia (+2)
Season Record: 7-5
Mostly written off as unlikely to reach the Final Six, here's more fuel for the the Reyer locker room to use as motivation. Their all-Italian Play-Ins clash with Schio will be epic and it would not be a surprise of any kind if they prevail. Kaila Charles is one of the form ballers right now and the hard-nosed frontcourt edge of Joyner Holmes, Steph Mavunga and Lorela Cubaj makes them super tough. But maybe they're missing that true game-changer and clutch baller?
