Can Zandalasini shoot Italy back into contention?
ROME (FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers) – After a damaging loss at home to Croatia in their last outing in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers, Italy will need Cecilia Zandalasini at her glorious best next month.
The WNBA champion and Famila Schio standout is going to have to bring some serious offensive game to the table if Italy want to recover in what is arguably the most cut-throat Group around.

Zadalasini was the headline name in a 24-player squad named by Marco Crespi who will know that nothing less from two wins against MKD and then Sweden will do after the loss to Croatia. He has cast his net far and wide, perhaps signalling the need for Italy to encourage more competition for places.
There will also be a strong onus on the experienced Giorgia Sottana to lead the way, since she is now showcasing her talent at Turkish giants Fenerbahce, so has the game to also take Italy to 3-1 after next month's match-ups.
