Johannes headlines exciting France squad for FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019
PARIS (France) - After three consecutive silver medals, France are hoping to go one better at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019.
They will be pinning a large chunk of their hopes on the talent of Marine Johannes, whose EuroLeague Women form recently landed her a first WNBA contract, which she will take up later this summer.

Marine Fauthoux | Sandrine Gruda | Bria Hartley | Marine Johannes |
Magali Mendy | Sarah Michel | Marie-Michelle Milapie | Endy Miyem |

She was the centerpiece of a 19-player squad that head coach Valerie Garnier will have some trouble narrowing down to a final roster - such is the talent and potential on offer. As well as Johannes, the team will be led by the classy frontcourt quartet of Endy Miyem, Helena Ciak, Alexia Chartereau and Sandrine Gruda.

Bria Hartley will pick up the playmaking reins at what will be her first ever Final Round appearance and with Valeriane Ayayi in exceptional form for ZVVZ USK Praha on the wing, the core rotation of France suggests another podium finish and underlines their status as frontrunners.
As well as the familiar faces, the squad also offers a glimpse into a possible golden future, with the inclusion of teenage rising stars Marine Fauthoux and Iliana Rupert.
