FIBA Europe launches official app for FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019

MUNICH (Germany) - In anticipation of the continental showpiece event, FIBA Europe has launched the official FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 app, presented by Global FIBA Partner Tissot.

The free app, developed by Infront's subsidiary OMNIGON, is available for both Android and iOS devices and offers a unique personalization experience. Users can select and follow up to three favorite teams and ten favorite players, customizing their experience and controlling the content they want to access instantly.

The release of the app is part of FIBA's constant and ongoing drive to cater to fans who, more and more, consume its major events on mobile.

FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 will be co-hosted by Latvia and Serbia from June 27 to July 7. Fans throughout the world will get to closely follow all the action - from live stats to highlights - as Europe's 16 best women's national teams do battle to be crowned champions.

Kamil Novak, FIBA Executive Director Europe, said: "Following on from the FIBA EuroBasket 2017 and EuroLeague Women apps, we are pleased to now present the official app for FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019. The app complements our digital properties and offers a complete fan experience, enabling fans worldwide to follow their favorite teams and players and feel the excitement of what we expect to be a thrilling FIBA Women's EuroBasket. It is only fitting that the app will be officially presented and promoted during the EuroLeague Women Final Four, another celebration of basketball and our female athletes."

The EuroLeague Women Final Four will take place in Sopron, Hungary from April 12-14, featuring multiple stars who are set to also take center stage for their national teams in the summer. FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 will be further present in Sopron through mascots Pick and Roll, and fans will have the opportunity to get their photo taken in the Throne Zone.
