Les Bleues to reconvene in Anglet on Sunday

PARIS (Rio 2016 Olympic Games) - France coach Valerie Garnier has called the same 12 players that qualified for the Olympics for the start of the team's preparations for the Rio de Janeiro Games in Anglet.

Also joining the squad to help in training will be a couple of invitees, Romane Bernies and Marieme Badiane. The players will join the coaches in the Aquitaine region of southwestern France on Sunday afternoon.

Les Bleues booked their place in Brazil by beating Cuba, New Zealand and Argentina at the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament (WOQT) in Nantes.

Garnier's team has a training camp in Anglet until 5 July and will take on fellow Olympic participants Brazil on 3 July. After a short break, the French players will reconvene in Bordeaux for a training camp that is to run 9-14 July.

France will travel to Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, and have friendly games against Turkey on 16 and 17 July.

The team will then leave Europe for the United States for the final phase of its preparations from 24 July to 3 August.

France's last three warm-up games will be against the USA in Newark, Delaware, 27 July, 29 July in Bridgeport, Connecticut against Australia and 31 July against Canada at Madison Square Garden in New York.

After the WOQT, France were drawn in Group A of the Olympic women's basketball tournament against Japan, Brazil, Australia, Turkey and Belarus.
