Dominant Ratton takes MVP award after missing out on title

ANDORRA LA VELLA (Andorra) - Jordan Ratton was named MVP at the FIBA U18 European Championship 2019, Division C  after an impressive tournament that saw Monaco just miss out on the title.

The 6ft 8in (2.03m) center posted a double-double in each of his five outings and finished with averages of 18.2 points and 13.6 rebounds, whilst ending up third in the tournament's efficiency ratings.

Ratton had personal bests of 28 points and 19 rebounds in a Group Phase win over Andorra and was joined in the All-Star Five by teammate Vincent Vermillac, who impressed with his all-round displays of 7.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game.

Cyprus took the title and were represented in the All-Star Five by Aineas Jung after he led his side to victory with 17.0 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

Also earning their spots were Alejandro Garcia Tejon of Gibraltar after ranking second in points (20.4), rebounds (14.8) and assists (4.5) and Andorra's Sergi Serrato as he top scored for the hosts as they took 6th place.
