FIBA European Youth Championships 2019 Draws completed

BELGRADE (FIBA European Youth Championships 2019) – The groups for the FIBA European Youth Championship 2019 have been confirmed, following a draw ceremony in the Serbian capital Belgrade on Thursday.

A total of 256 teams will compete in the 16 tournaments, which will be played across three age categories and three divisions.

The European youth summer will tip off with the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship, Division B in Skopje, MKD and will conclude with the Finals of the FIBA U16 Women's European Championships.

13 of the 16 tournament hosts were already announced following the FIBA Europe Board autumn meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania. The remaining three organizers, for the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship, Division A, the FIBA U16 Women’s European Championship, Division A and the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship, Division B, are expected to be confirmed at the extraordinary FIBA Europe Board meeting on December 17.

Thursday's Draws were attended by a number of FIBA Europe's 50 member federations, with the guests honoring the late FIBA Europe Honorary Member and FIBA Hall of Fame inductee, Noah Klieger with a minute of silence ahead of the ceremony.
