Who will lift the trophy in Kaunas? Vote now

KAUNAS (FIBA U16 Women's European Championship 2018) - We're down to the final four teams in the race for the top step of the podium at the FIBA U16 Women's European Championship.

Friday's first Semi-Final serves up a rematch of a thriller from the Group Phase, with Czech Republic hoping to repeat their victory over Turkey and, ideally, with a little less drama this time.

The first encounter saw Turkey holding a 14-point lead at half-time, but the Czech defense shut Turkey down for more than six minutes to come back into the game before Derin Erdogan's clutch three-pointer forced overtime.

Petra Malikova ended up as Czech Republic's hero, scoring 22 points and adding 9 rebounds for an efficiency of 29, and providing her only assist of the game to set up Simona Fiserova for the game-winner.

Turkey bounced back from that defeat and a further loss to France to impressively beat Latvia and then Russia in a dominant Quarter-Final performance, while the Czechs labored in defeating Hungary, owing a debt of gratitude to Katerina Zeithammerova's dramatic game-winner.

The second Semi-Final promises to be a classic, with Italy and Spain both looking very strong throughout the tournament. Spain's five wins have all been by more than 30, while Italy could boast similar until their thrilling Quarter-Final against France, which ended 61-59.

Spain have pressured weaker teams into mistakes, forcing an incredible 27 steals per game thus far, but Italy have forced the second-most steals in the competition and they have a strong rotation of guards who will not be flustered, especially after the experience of the match with France.

Let us know which team you believe will come out on top in the poll below!
