Bellona Agu storm past Girona as first Quarter-Final tickets booked

KAYSERI (EuroCup Women) - There was joy for the locals in Kayseri as Bellona Agu overturned a first-leg deficit against Spar Citylift Girona to sail into the last eight of the competition.

Trailing by eight points from the previous match-up, Bellona Agu completed an outstanding 85-54 success to blow away their previously unbeaten opponents.

Chelsea Gray torched her former club as she top-scored with 23 points, while Ann Wauters showed her quality yet again with a 15-point and 11-rebound double-double, having also excelled in the first leg.

The result completed a difficult week for Girona who lost a big lead in last weekend's Copa De La Reina Final which went into the trophy room of arch rivals Perfumerias Avenida.

Elsewhere on Turkish soil, Wisla Can-Pack won their EuroLeague Women game 83-74 at Mersin, which secured sixth place in Group A and ensured they will now also compete in the EuroCup Women Quarter-Finals. Sandra Ygueravide starred for Wisla with 18 points and nine assists.

Three EuroCup Women Round of 8 second leg games will take place on Thursday.
