RIGA (Latvia) - Opportunity knocks for TTT Riga when they host in-form Group A rivals Perfumerias Avenida in the latest Game of the Week matchup.

The legendary Latvian club were largely written off prior to the season's initial tip but they are in a much brighter position than some expected them to be at this stage, and are this week chasing a fourth victory and the chance to leap higher.

TTT will not only be hoping they can take down their high-flying opponents, who have only lost twice so far, but also extract revenge on Avenida for a heavy loss earlier in the campaign.

The live broadcast of the game between TTT Riga and Perfumerias Avenida will be freely available on the EuroLeague Women YouTube channel, as well as on Facebook, at 18:00 CET on Wednesday, December 15.

Form guide: TTT Riga sit in 5th place in the group with a 3-5 record. Two of their wins have come when playing on home soil, against MBA Moscow and Umana Reyer Venezia respectively. They are also 8-0 in the Baltic League. Avenida are in 3rd spot with a 6-2 record, while they are 11-1 in the Spanish Liga Feminina.

Last meeting: Perfumerias Avenida were rampant and completed a 72-41 win at Pabellon Wurzburg in Salamanca, taking down TTT with a real team performance that harvested double-digit scoring returns for Bella Alarie, Shante Evans and Maria Fasoula.

Key matchup: Kahleah Copper is looking unstoppable after two massive scores of more than 30 points for Avenida in the past games, so this matchup will be important for TTT who will need to quell that fire. It's a difficult task and it will be interesting to see who matches up, since there are arguably no obvious choices. They could go small with Ieva Pulvere or the veteran Gunta Basko, while going bigger with Chantelle Handy might also be an option.

Daugile Sauraskaite continues to be an important anchor in the paint for TTT Riga

X-factor: It's all eyes on Daugile Sarauskaite because she has been the main source of joy and positive things for TTT Riga. But the center has a big job to do against an Avenida frontcourt who has much more depth of rotation under the basket with the likes of Maria Fasoula, Emese Hof and Nogaye Lo. How Sarauskaite copes and plays could have a huge bearing on this game, because if she is shut down offensively, then Riga could really struggle. Also because Avenida are shooting 55 percent from two-point range and that needs dealt with at the defensive end too.
