Sopron Basket sweep aside Fenerbahce to take last Final Four ticket
SOPRON (EuroLeague Women) - Sopron Basket punched the last ticket to the Final Four after they inflicted disappointment on Fenerbahce with a vibrant 67-46 success in their Quarter-Finals series decider.
Having lost the first meeting between the clubs, Sopron are now heading for their first Final Four appearance since 2009 after claiming the back-to-back victories they needed.
Despite losing Alaina Coates unexpectedly due to a family emergency on the eve of the clash, Sopron showed great resolve. They were led by a superb display by Yvonne Turner, who set the pace early and went on to claim 29 points - also hitting the shot that buried the Turkish powerhouse.
