Griner fired up after first Final Four dunk
SOPRON (EuroLeague Women) – While the last-gasp triple of Jelena Milovanovic headlined Semi-Finals day in Sopron, the sub-plot belonged to Brittney Griner as she converted her first Final Four dunk.
The American national team and WNBA star put in a typically powerful showing of 19 points and 7 rebounds for UMMC Ekaterinburg in a 77-84 triumph against Dynamo Kursk, but it was the dunk that truly grabbed the attention.

She revealed: "I was just looking to finish in that moment and then it felt good as I was going up. Suddenly, I thought 'Hey I am up at the rim' and so I thought I had might as well slam it.
"That is the kind of play I try to look for more and more, since I know it can get some extra attention and help to get the women's game going and really light a fire under us for the sport."
Griner will try to land another title with UMMC in Sunday's Final against Sopron Basket and is expected to be a prime MVP candidate.
