Ben Abdelkader walks away with Top Performer status

MUNICH (Germany) - It was a bitter sweet night for Hind Ben Abdelkader as she secured the Top Performer honor but endured the agony of Hatay slipping out of the competition.

On fire in the Round of 16 second-leg contest against Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje, the Belgian guard amassed a superb 33 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in a 77-70 victory.

While she had to walk through the EuroCup Women exit door, Abdelkader may at least get some compensation with the Fans' MVP award too, via the interactive vote below.

Competition will come from the other Team of the Week members, including Varvara Psareva of MBA Moscow, who also played her last game this season in the competition. She was the standout figure as her side finished 82-82 against CCC Polkowice, having fallen heavily in the first leg. She shone brightly with 19 points from a 70 percent shooting display and added 10 boards.

Erica McCall suffered the same fate as KSC Szekszard claimed a 79-75 success against Lointek Gernika Bizkaia, but were eliminated because of an under-par effort in the first meeting. The forward waved goodbye to the competition with 20 points after firing 73 percent from the field, plus 7 rebounds.

The experienced Endy Miyem was again delivering big for Carolo Basket. Having taken Top Performers honors last week, she haunted Besiktas TRC Insaat again in an 86-72 win.  She finished with 22 points after a deadly 75 percent shooting night.

Finally, Arike Ogunbowale was the main architect of Orman Genclik coming storming back in their tie with Olympiacos. The 8-point loss in Greece was wiped out comprehensively off the back of her 31 points, 6 assists and 3 steals as the Turkish club won 83-59.
