Media Accreditation

Media accreditation is now open for FIBA EuroBasket 2017 in Finland, Israel, Romania and Turkey, August 31 - September 17.

The Group Phase will be played in Helsinki Arena (Finland); Tel Aviv Arena (Israel); Cluj-Napoca's Polyvalent Hall (Romania) and Istanbul's Fenerbahce Arena (Turkey) from August 31 - September 7.

The Final Phase will be played in Istanbul's Sinan Erdem Arena, from September 9 - 17.

Media representatives who wish to attend the event are kindly requested to apply using the FIBA Media Portal

The deadline for submitting applications is June 15.

MEDIA HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

All four venues offer Official Media Hotel accommodation. During the application process you will have the opportunity to also select accommodation in one of the Media Hotels. This request will serve as a pre-booking in the respective hotel(s).

Once your media accreditation application has been approved you will be able to proceed with processing and finalising your booking.

Please, note that if your media accreditation application is not approved then your pre-booking will be automatically cancelled.

Further information about the hotels, cancellation policies and other details can be obtained by the relevant person in the contact list of each hotel.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Successful applicants will be notified by FIBA; completing the application form does not automatically guarantee accreditation.

A proper and valid, electronic version of a portrait photo (headshot) of the applicant must be uploaded during the procedure. Applications that do not include a proper and valid photo may not be considered.

In order to be considered for media credentials, an applicant must represent a bona fide media organization that produces and publishes original content.

Applications for media credentials by club representatives, agents, educational booklet authors, fan bloggers, or media that do not produce original content based on generally accepted news gathering criteria will not be considered.

Freelancers (writers, photographers and videographers) may be asked to prove that they are on assignment with a media outlet in order to be considered for credentials.

Credentials will be awarded on the basis of the professional history of the applying media, relevance to the event and basketball in general, as well as space availability in the different venues.

Organizations that need to apply for a big number of credentials (e.g. rights-holding media) are required to send an email to communications-europe@fiba.com to discuss the use of a corporate user's account or the re-activation of their account (for already registered users).

If you have any questions, please contact FIBA Communications Europe at communications-europe@fiba.com.
