Trophy Tour's eye-catching visit to Indonesia

JAKARTA (Indonesia) - The fascinating country of Indonesia, the world's largest archipelagic state, was a stop on the Trophy Tour, presented by J9.

The nation that consists of over 17,000 islands is one of the hosts of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, which is currently underway in Jakarta, as well as Manila and Okinawa.

In Indonesia, the trophy was taken to famous locations in Solo, Surabaya, Bali and Jakarta.

It was photographed in front of the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace, which was established in 1744, is in the center of the city of Solo.

The biggest prize in international basketball was photographed at Loji Gandrung, the official house of the Mayor of Surakarta, which is the work of famous Dutch architect, C.P Wolff Schoemaker.

After an event at which youth basketball players saw the trophy, one that was attended by Indonesian basketball officials - Mr. Junas Mardiansyah, Agus Mauro, Danny Kosasih and Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming - the trophy moved on to island paradise of Bali.

The popular tourist destination has magical places to visit like Tanah Lot, Ubud, the Sangeh Sacred Monkey Forest and Uluwatu.

Patung Surabaya

The Patung Surabaya statue is the symbol of the city of Surabaya. It consists of a crocodile and a shark, which inspired the name of the city of Surabaya: ikan sura (shark) and baya (crocodile).

It was built in 1988 and is located in front of the Surabaya Zoo.
