    Who have punched their tickets to Paris 2024?

    MANILA (Philippines) - The 32 teams participating in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 have come to battle for the Naismith Trophy, but that is not the only thing on the line.


    MANILA (Philippines) - The 32 teams participating in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 have come to battle for the Naismith Trophy, but that is not the only thing on the line.

    The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will directly qualify seven national teams for the Olympic Games, with hosts France receiving automatic qualification to the event.

    The seven spots will include two teams from Americas, two teams from Europe, one team from Africa, one team from Asia and one team from Oceania.

    Who is still in contention for direct qualification for each continent?

    The four remaining places in the 12-team Olympic field are reserved for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments 2024.

    FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments

    A total of 24 teams will compete in four Olympic Qualifying Tournaments.

    Five of the teams have already earned their tickets as winners of their respective FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments.

    There are 19 more spots available to be distributed at the World Cup.

    The highest placed team for each region of Africa, Americas, and Asia/Oceania, after the eight teams directly qualified, will be awarded berths, with the remaining spots filled by the next 16 highest-placed teams at the World Cup.

    The winner of each tournament will qualify for the Men's Olympic Basketball Tournament.
