    Dennis Schroder's journey to World Cup MVP

    MIES (Switzerland) - Dennis Schroder first represented Germany in a national team tournament in 2011, at the U18 European Championship. Now he's the reigning FIBA Basketball World Cup MVP.

    MIES (Switzerland) - Dennis Schroder ran onto the court and represented Germany in a national team tournament for the first time in 2011, at the U18 European Championship in Poland.

    Stardom quickly followed because in 2013, the Atlanta Hawks used the 17th pick in the first round of the NBA Draft on the 19-year-old. Last year, Schroder celebrated his, and Germany's, biggest feat on the hardwood - an unbeaten run to glory at the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Manila. He was named MVP of the event.
